Summer Festivals 2022

This year I had/have the pleasure to be the first violin in the following summer festival concerts:

Festival Haydn Mozart, Genève (Switzerland), June 2022
A festival entirely organised and performed by Gli Angeli Genève. We played two concerts with Haydn symphonies, Mozart arias and piano concertos, and two more concerts with Haydn’s Schöpfung. With Stephan MacLeod, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Sandrine Piau, Werner Güra.

Summerwinds Festival, Münster (Germany), June 2022
In this festival Ensemble Odyssee performed its programme “In Freundschaft” for the last time after many concerts in many different places. We played and said goodbye to a lovely Telemann suite in e minor, a suite for recorder and orchestra by Chr. Graupner, a recorder concerto by Telemann, Bachs 4th Brandenburg concerto in the version for harpsichord solo and his concerto in c minor for violin and oboe. With Anna Stegmann, Georg Fritz, Andrea Friggi.

Aurora Festival, Groningen (Netherlands), July 2022
A programme with mostly French music by Charpentier, Philidor, Muffat and Purcell. We achieved an orchestral sound with an ensemble consisting of string consort, oboe band, recorder, two keybord instruments and percussion. With Johann Hoffman and Judith van Wanrooij.

Festival Crete Senesi, Asciano (Italy), August 2022
I participated in the closing concert of Philippe Herrewege’s festival Crete Senesi with Collegium Vocale Gent. The programme “Et in Arcadia Ego” is a combination of 5 and 6 voice madrigals and instrumental music by Monteverdi, Marenzio and Salomone Rossi.

MA Festival Brugge (Belgium), August 2022
Alessandro Scarlatti’s Giuditta (“di Cambridge”, version 1697) performed by Enemble Abchordis (Basel). With Andrea Buccarella, Marie Lys, Rachele Raggiotti, Valerio Contaldo.

Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik (Austria), August 2022
In Innsbruck La Cetra Barockorchester Basel will perform the programme “Vespro Veneziano”, the summer version of “Vespro di Natale” which we recorded last year. It is a selection of pieces from Monteverdi’s Selva Morale e Spirituale (1641) for double choir (including soloists) accompanied by five strings, cornetti, trombones and basso continuo.

Coming up: Utrecht Early Music Festival!
